6 Actions to Protect America's Future: Our Children
Linda Harvey, WND.com
As we gather for cookouts and fireworks this week, letís not forget why we assemble and what it takes to preserve freedom.
We must protect Americaís futureóour impressionable children.
In many venues today, our precious offspring are thrown to the wolves of the imploding culture, yet it would not take much to rescue them. But Americaís parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles must multiply their acts of vigilance.
Do we want to create God-honoring, thoughtful, compassionate and civilized citizens Ė or wasted barbarians? We do have a choice.
Here are some actions you can take right now.
1. Commit to daily prayer for Godís guidance, and then act on where He leads you. But pleaseódonít use, ďIíll pray about itĒ as an excuse to put an indefinite hold on those critical phone calls, emails and conversations...
2. Encourage your children to be vocal about their faith, even if they attend public school, even if they are tapped to give a graduation speech.
Especially if they do these things. We need to push back against the darkness, and the plain truth is that we must train our children early to be bold about their faith, or the freedom to express it will vanish.
Thinking about what to do with kids this summer?
Teach them about God's plan for sexuality!
There's no better time than summer vacation to take advantage of those unplanned moments and-- plan ahead for them!
We are our children's and grandchildren's first teachers and what better time than summer to equip them with vital information about God's design of two genders--male and female -- sexuality reserved for authentic marriage, and the sins and heartbreak of straying from this beautiful plan.
We have many resources on our web site at www.missionamerica.com to help you. Linda Harvey's book, Maybe He's Not Gay: Another View on Homosexuality can equip your teens with a common sense and biblical understanding of this troubling issue.
Think about it, pray about it, and be ready for those precious teachable moments! Go to our web site, Mission America for more information and lots of ideas!
