The Conflict: The NEA vs. Christian Conservatives

by Linda Harvey

IMPORTANT EVENT!

The Grand Lake Patriots will present, “The Conflict: NEA vs. Christian Conservatives,” on Tuesday, July 26 at 7:00 PM at the American Legion in Maria Stein, OH. Taxpayers, teachers, parents and grandparents, school board members and concerned citizens will be interested in hearing the ideas the National Education Association union is trying to promote in America’s schools.

Speakers at this event include Marietta, Ohio teacher Jade Thompson. Jade was recently interviewed on Fox News Channel’s Hannity Show after finding that her own union dues dollars were used by NEA’s Ohio affiliate to oppose her husband’s campaign for a seat in the Ohio House of Representatives.

Linda Harvey, the founder and head of Mission America and the host of the Mission America radio program on WRFD Christian radio station, Columbus, will address the topic of “NEA and the GLBT [gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender] agenda.” Linda has given numerous interviews and presentations across the nation.

Cincinnati area teacher Ruth Boyatt, formerly an outspoken NEA delegate at the union’s Representative Assemblies and vice president of the NEA Conservative Educators Caucus, will focus on the union’s dues dollars and “Where the Money Goes.” Ruth will also speak of NEA’s ties with liberal organizations and controversial people in the news.

Retired educator Judy Bruns, Coldwater, also formerly an 11-year delegate to NEA Representative Assemblies, co-founded the NEA Conservative Educators Caucus. Judy, a past Mercer County Right to Life president and the incoming executive director of Teachers Saving Children of Ohio, will address “NEA and the Abortion Connection.”

Exhibitors at the program will include local, state, national, and international groups: Grand Lake Patriots, Mercer County Liberty Group, Mercer County Right to Life, Association of American Educators, Christian Educators Association International, Mission America, and Teachers Saving Children® Inc.

Admission is free. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with sign-ups for door prizes. Refreshments will be available.
